So did you hear the Olympics were here? No, seriously…right here. The torch went past our apartment two days before the Games started and past the bakery the day before that. I didn’t see it at either place, but still…it was right here.

 

We didn’t go into town to see any of it live, but we watched more coverage than I had ever watched before and I have to admit I was, for the most part, impressed. When it comes to showing our national pride, we Canucks are usually a lot more reserved than our southern cousins, but these past two weeks have been one big ol’ Canadian love fest, eh.

 

VANOC and the IOC have a iron grip on all the media from the games so I can’t actually post any of the things that were hi-lights for me, but these few videos should give you the gist of it…
